Whenever I’m trying to exercise or improve my fitness or anything like that, I overdo it. Without fail.
One of the things I’m working on now is becoming accustomed to using a standing desk. My hip flexors are too short, and other muscles are out of balance.
Days when I’m feeling decent and have enough energy, I keep the desk in standing mode far too long, standing most of the day with only a few sitting breaks.
Twice in the past week or so I’ve stood most of the day, and was then exhausted the next day. Maybe two times will be enough for me to remember the pattern.
Note to self: Stand for an hour or two at a time, then sit for a while. You need to build up your endurance!
