Water! From the sky!

For so many years, I lived places that were generally wet. So, dry days and sunshine were novel.

But for all but two years since 1994, I’ve lived in quite or very dry places. And my fair skin keeps me inside because of the sun. Making sunny days (except in winter) something I dislike.

We’ve had a bunch of precipitation this week, though, and it’s been lovely. Of course, I rarely have to leave the house most weeks (unless I want to or we need food), so I don’t have to go out in all the wet and cold. But I don’t mind the wet and the cold now, because it’s novel.

I wonder how long it would take for that to wear off if we moved somewhere wet again.
