Getting organized is (almost) half the battle.

I’ve learned that, when faced with the prospect of a huge project—be it writing a book or packing a house or taking a complicated trip—the whole thing is overwhelming to me until I/we come up with a plan, a procedure to follow to make it happen. Including casual or hard deadlines for various steps.

That’s how I feel about packing up the whole house. But I hope we have a concrete plan soon, so I can channel my anxious energy into implementing the plan rather than being utterly lost and distraught about having to move everything I own to an as-of-yet unknown location.
