Finally, the stars aligned (metaphorically) and I have my very own Bert companion.

As long-time readers of this blog know, Bert is one of my favorite Muppets, and I think one of the most underrated. (Grover is probably my other favorite, but he speaks to a very different side of me.)

I’d always wanted a Bert figurine, but some of them were not detailed enough, too un-lifelike, or looked like they were for very small children. I found a small one on Amazon a number of years ago, but it was an import, and by the time I decided to get it for myself, it was out of stock.

But, my patience paid off! Recently it was back in stock and it was at the top of my Christmas list last year. And my mom delivered (thanks, Mom!).

So, now, I have my own Bert, complete with attitude and all his nerdiness. I’ve started an Instagram account for him, so hopefully I’ll remember to post to it sometimes.
