Autumn is my favorite season. And September is the month in which Autumn starts. Sure, it may still be in the 80s here in northern Arizona, but we’ve already experienced a weather turn or two, and that means that cooler temps are on the horizon.

Typically, September is still pretty warm, but the nights cool off more, we can open up the house more, and we are starting to look toward the Autumn and Winter holidays, which are usually my favorite time of year, if I’m not-busy enough to actually enjoy them.

So, we may not get glorious Septembers here like they do in the northeast and upper midwest, but we do get our first hint that the hot months are just about over and I can actually start thinking straight until about mid-June. (Heat makes my brain cease to function.)
