Moving In by Victor Vincent Adam

It’s getting pretty old, this feeling unsettled. Having rented (instead of owning) for a ton of years now, you’re always at the mercy of the homeowner. And not being able to afford to buy in our area, we will have to leave the area in a couple of years. But we don’t know exactly where we’re going yet, so we can’t plan for that either.

So I have a feeling of being unsettled, unsure where we will land. I know we will land somewhere, but I don’t know where it’ll be, how it’ll happen, whether or not we will like it or be happy there, or how I’ll be able to see my family enough.

It is nice to still have our options open, but it’s hard to plan for an amorphous future.
