So, I’ve committed to myself to publish daily blog posts for the whole year that I’m 50 years old. I did that partly to capture any thoughts I had during the year, to look back on later. And partly to get myself in the habit of blogging.

Before my birthday, I only posted very occasionally. I wasn’t in the habit of sharing things in this format on the regular.

But now that I’m writing every day (or almost every day—sometimes I write a bunch of things in advance if there’s something going on in my life), I’m in the habit of continually adding content to my little corner of the internet, tucked away in a tidy pocketbook. But I also need to pare down on the things I do daily.

So, realistically, I’m guessing I’ll go back to posting only occasionally. But I’m hoping that I’ve gotten this blogging muscle in decent enough shape to direct me to posting here more often than I used to. Time will tell.

(I honestly don’t know how many people are even reading these. But since I’m doing them for myself, it doesn’t matter in the end.)
