Happy New Year!

As Anne Shirley said, “Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet,” and 2024 is a new year with no mistakes in it yet.

I imagine the year will be busy for us, as 2023 was, because we will have one kid away at college all year, a big trip planned, and various other things that may or may not happen.

I’m still finalizing my year’s priorities, but I do know that I’m going to prioritize my mental and physical health, scheduling time for artistic pursuits (whether or not I’m actually good at them), and reading at least 24 books.

January 1 always feels like a fresh start to me, despite being an arbitrary division of the calendar.
