Year of Being 50: Day 257: Furiously Reading
I got a great start to this year’s book reading goal, knocking out so many books in the first month or so. But I fell way behind in late summer/early fall, and I’m scrambling to get my final books read this month. I have had to have two going—one physical, one Kindle—because I read these formats in different locations and circumstances. So I’ve put cheesy Christmas/New Year/Winter movies on hold for a bit and am focusing on reading.
I just finished my penultimate book for the year, and am furiously finishing up my last one, while also trying to savor it (it’s May Sarton; I love her journals). I’m always stubborn and determined to reach goals like this, so I know I’ll make it. But I’m cutting it far too close. I’m going to have to be more organized next year, keeping a closer eye on my progress!
