We love to crochet in my house. But we also live somewhere that doesn’t get too cold in the winter. It gets cold, but not often enough or for long enough to necessitate a large wardrobe of crocheted hats, mittens, and scarves (or even sweaters). Much to my chagrin.

But my daughter recently came into some hand-me-down yarn, and I’m having a lot of fun crocheting hats and scarves for the little kids at her school. Sometimes kids lose their outerwear, and you don’t want them getting cold! So they keep a stash around. I’m doing my best to make sure they have an influx of fresh “woolens.”
