I love the idea of coloring books, and occasionally do enjoy a bit of coloring for a short while, but even as a kid, I thought they were pretty boring.

I kind of enjoy coloring in areas when it comes to digital art, but in the physical world with crayons or colored pencils or whatever, I just don’t love coloring in.

I keep wanting to really like it, as demonstrated by the half dozen coloring books aimed at adults that I own (plus a few aimed at kids). But I forget they are there and I get bored with them quickly when I do turn to them for entertainment.

I feel like I should be able to enjoy them. Like, they seem like they would be something that I would like quite a bit. But it just isn’t clicking and I don’t know why. But 50 years of “why don’t I like coloring?” can’t be wrong, right?
