Is There Such a Thing as Too Much Random?
Not that I’ve been trying very hard to make it otherwise, but not a lot of people read this blog. It’s okay, it’s not about my ego. But I do put a lot of work into some of the posts, and I’m wondering if my time might be spent focusing on other things. Should I just post here when I have news to share? Announcements? New books or projects? Or should I continue writing articles on topics that interest me that maybe half a dozen people will read?
My posts here haven’t been terribly focused on any one specific topic, and that reflects who I am as a person. I have Too Many Interests (I’m a Renaissance Soul, after all). But that’s usually one of the biggest no-nos in blogging.
“Focus,” they say. Well, I’m not good at focusing on one thing to the exclusion of all else. I’m just not. But, while I figure all this out, my blog posts may start being a bit more sporadic. I’m working hard on some projects, ramping up for NaNoWriMo, working to pay the bills, and spending a great deal of time with my kids’ schooling. I’m finding it necessary to make choices in what I spend time doing so that I can save a bit of time for sanity. Long term goals, and all that.
But I’m not going anywhere. I have a new series of posts that I will begin posting here soon, serializing a non-fiction book that I’ve written. So, stay tuned!
