My great grandmother, 1905, age 14.

Why don’t we wear hats more often? They are a sometimes spectacular, sometimes useful addition to our wardrobes. Plus I’d have more of a reason to hide my hair with the added benefit of keeping more sun off of my face.

I suppose we’d have to dress up more overall, for the fancier hats. Which I could do. I always feel better about myself when I look nice, and I know I’m not the only one.

So here is a prime example of one of the more interesting hats. It features my great grandmother when she was just 14, in 1905.
