I’m as old as Woolworth’s was back in 1929.

So, it has come to this…

Today is my 50th day of being 50. What have I done so far this Year of Being 50 that is fun or makes me feel special?

I’ve been writing daily blog posts, which is both an additional task and a nice outlet of expression.

But mostly I’ve been doing the same things I would have been doing if I hadn’t been trying to celebrate the year.

I’m trying not to beat myself up about it, though, because there are some big adventures and fun activities to come, and life’s just been busy lately. Helping one kid sort some things out in her life, helping the other get ready for the transition from living at home and going go the community college to moving out and starting at the university.

It’s all just a lot.

There will be some interesting things to write about soon, though.
